Photography has become more than a creative outlet—it’s a way of seeing, understanding, and connecting with the world around me. What began as a personal interest has steadily grown into a meaningful pursuit, particularly in the realm of architectural and landscape photography. I’m drawn to the way structure, light, and environment come together to tell a story—whether through the clean lines of a building or the quiet beauty of a natural landscape. Living in Texas has given me the opportunity to explore a wide range of subjects, from historic architecture and modern commercial spaces to the vast landscapes of places like the Hill Country and Big Bend. Architectural photography challenges me to carefully study design, symmetry, balance, and light, while landscape photography reminds me to slow down, be present, and appreciate the grandeur and stillness found in nature. Both disciplines require patience, attention to detail, and an appreciation for perspective. Beyond the technical side, photography has deepened my appreciation for creativity and collaboration. Every image is an opportunity to preserve a moment, communicate emotion, and share a unique point of view. Whether photographing a thoughtfully designed structure or a dramatic Texas sunset, I aim to create images that feel authentic and meaningful. As I continue to grow, my goal is to develop my craft to a professional level while staying grounded in the curiosity and passion that inspired me to pick up a camera in the first place. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share this journey and look forward to what lies ahead through the lens.

Very Truly Yours,
Brent R. Anderson – Architect / Photographer

Brent was born and raised in Victoria, Texas. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Economics and Texas A&M University with a Master of Architecture.

Following graduation from Texas A&M, and prior to becoming a licensed architect in the State of Texas, Mr. Anderson spent a decade further developing his design talent, as a visual artist, at some of the larger architectural firms in San Antonio.

Shortly after becoming a licensed architect, he joined MSA Architecture + Interiors, to form a professional design partnership with his wife, Leslie and college friend, George Klein.

Over the years he began photographing constructed projects designed by their firm to help market and grow the business. Having been trained in the visual arts, Brent has continued to cultivate his passion for photography and has continued to develop his skills and talents that began during his formative years, photographing architecture, outdoor natural environments, and an occasional wedding and other social event.

As an architect and a social creature, he enjoys blending people and photography in built and outdoor natural environments. Capturing that special moment in just the right setting is what he focuses on. He is intrigued by the implementation and composition of color and objects using natural and artificial light to enhance the story behind his photographic endeavors.

His clients include families, individuals, architects and designers seeking his ability to capture attractive photographic images that tell a story for their event or creative endeavors. When asked what sets his approach to photography to stand out from others he has stated, “Showcasing the built and natural environment is my passion. As a visual artist, every engagement provides me with the opportunity to capture a setting or someone at their best, from my perspective. I am here to make my subject matter shine, create happiness and a photographic legacy by focusing on moments while providing a great experience through my photographic services.”

Brent’s work has been exhibited at The University of Texas at San Antonio Community Art Exhibition, Barshop Jewish Community Center, and other gallery exhibitions. He was awarded the National Alpha Rho Chi Fraternity Medal Recipient for architecture and the allied arts, as well as the William C. Pahlmann Scholarship for Interior Design while at Texas A&M University.

Mr. Anderson holds memberships in the TPPA (Texas Professional Photographers Association), PPSA (Professional Photographers of San Antonio), GSACC (Greater San Antonio Camera Club), AIA (American Institute of Architects) and RECSA (Real Estate Council San Antonio).
